The ethos of our team is what sets us apart, pushing ourselves never to accept second-best and always deliver outstanding results.
At Epoch, we work as a team regardless of whether we are in the office or on-site.
When it comes to running, swimming, or cycling, however, we’re competing with each other. It is all part of our ethos of pushing ourselves never to accept second-best and always deliver outstanding results.
While some of the elder members of the Epoch team have begun engaging in more age appropriate behaviors such as golf and sunset walks on the beach, the younger set are much more active and are keen participants in a range of outdoor activities and endurance events.
Most weekends will see members of the team either training for, or participation in, a range of activities including cycling, running and triathlons.
The results of everyone’s efforts can be seen on our Strava Club feed. As they say, if it’s not on Strava it didn’t happen!
Feel free to climb in and comment on their efforts, if it seems their times are slacking, experience has shown there is usually a reason for a “slow run with a friend!”
(Sometimes it’s the small things that make a difference)
With its origins in a suggestion to the younger members of the team that they don’t need permission to braai at the office, our Friday braais have rapidly evolved into an institution. The title of Braaimaster is now taken extremely seriously, and is not conferred on anyone lightly.
Fridays have now evolved into a routine whereby the fire is lit by the Braaimaster who then briefly disappears to scour the local supermarkets and bakeries for the juiciest lamb chops and boerewors and the freshest bread rolls and pita breads.
